3 of 3 people found the following review helpful Felt better...but was FREEZING!, February 24, 2011 By  Crystal Mylove Dunton "Crystal-Mylove" (Dubuque, IA) - See all my reviews    This review is from: Gel Mattress Overlay 34" x 76" x 3.5" (Health and Beauty) I have Multiple Sclerosis, Reynauds, Arthritis, Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension and Right Sided Heart Failure...so I spend a fair amount of time resting with my Oxygen. I do get pressure sores, on my spine and bum. My doctor had me try this gel mattered. It felt nice and padded, I liked that. However, it felt "freezing" to me. I always felt chilled. Adding to my pain. So, I am still looking for a solution. It is made very well, and a good value for the money compared to other padding. Maybe it would work for someone who is 'hot'all of the time ;-). This review is from: Gel Mattress Overlay 34" x 76" x 3.5" (Health and Beauty) This mattress topper is for my grandmother as a replacement for the one that wore out. We use it directly on top of the hospital bed. Amazon priced it about $100 lower than the local medical supply store, even with shipping. Remarkably, we received it within just a couple days. That was amazing. I understand they only last 2-3 years and getting a new one really improved my grandmother's aching back which happened as a result of the old one. We'll definitely be back for a new one in a few years. Very pleased with the overall experience.
